We are currently leading a team to design and build a new Agri-Educational Facility for the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority in Leesburg, VA. This project is utilizing sustainable design and construction practices and technologies; upon completion, it will apply to become a LEED Certified green building. The new facility will serve as a visitor center that will teach the public about farming and sustainable living.
Environment
It has often been said that the greenest house is the one already built.
By renovating an existing home, you reduce your impact on the environment by using less materials, disturbing less undeveloped land, and making the existing home more efficient in its use of resources such as electricity and water. You can go even further by choosing environmentally responsible materials, installing high efficiency HVAC equipment and plumbing fixtures, and more. At Harry Braswell, Inc. we have the experience to help guide you through the process of renovating your home in an environmentally friendly way.
Whether your goal is to achieve certification through a green building program such as LEED or ENERGY STAR, or simply to do the most you can for the environment, there are many different aspects to consider when integrating green building into your project and budget. Because of this, it is important to bring in a green building professional such as Harry Braswell, Inc. as soon as possible. We can guide you through the process of selecting equipment and finishes that not only create the look you want, but that maximizes the efficiency of your house and minimizes your impact on the environment.
As a company, Harry Braswell, Inc. has already implemented some green practices on every project, such as a waste management program that recycles as much construction debris as possible. Just by choosing us as your contractor, you have already begun the process of being greener!
